Engage with the nation

Getting involved in a nation is a popular way to get more out of student life in Lund. The nations offer everything from pubs, sit-ins and clubs to sports, culture and novice activities. The activities are run by students' non-profit commitment, which means that active members have a great deal of responsibility and the opportunity to influence the activities.

As an active participant, you gain valuable experiences far beyond student life. You develop leadership, learn to collaborate in different groups, plan projects, work with service and communication, and sometimes even run larger events from idea to implementation. Many also discover completely new interests and build skills that become assets both in their studies and in future working life.

For many, the time spent as an active member of a nation is one of the most memorable parts of their studies, not only for the experiences and opportunities, but also for the community where you become part of a network of students from different educations and backgrounds. Regardless of which nation you choose, there are many ways to get involved and find a form of student life that suits you.

Get involved within the union

Getting involved in a union in Lund's student life is a valuable way to get more out of your study time. The core mission of a student union is to monitor education – that is, to represent the interests of students and work to improve the quality of education. Through the union, you as a student get the opportunity to really influence your own and others' study situation.

In addition, all unions offer a wide range of involvement, both socially and in matters related to education and business, to varying degrees. This can involve everything from arranging sporting events, parties and novice periods to creating job fairs or other business-related events to build bridges between students and the working world.

Getting involved in the Union not only provides practical experience and valuable qualifications, but also the opportunity to meet new people and make contacts that can be important for the future.
